The School Final Round of AHS Idol

"AHS Idol" is one of the events held annually at the Asian International School. This is an attractive English singing contest for all AHS students. It gives the students a chance to show their passion, develop their singing ability and improve their creative thinking.

Following the success of the Campus Final Round of AHS Idol, in the morning of 05/01/2013, AHS holds the School Final Round of AHS Idol 2012 – 2013. Eight winners of the Campus round bring impressive and meaningful performances for all audiences at the school final round.

At the school final round, each student performs two performances which are excellent enough to convince the audiences and especially the judges including Ms Tran Thi Lan Chi, Ms Duong Thi Phuong, Ms Nguyen Thi Bach Yen, Mr Paul Anthony Rodley, Mr Owen Salisbery and Ms Karen Abejo. They will select the performances with appropriate contents, beautiful singing voices with clearly pronunciation and unique performing styles.

In the contest, there are two main parts with 12 performances including solo and duet. The students prepare for their performances very well; hence all the performances are very excellent and interesting. Most of English songs performed by the students have exciting melody and the songs’ content is about the youth’s aspirations and beliefs.

The contest gives the audiences a special artistic performance with meticulous preparations, beautiful costumes and creative performing ideals. Many famous English songs are covered by the students successfully such as If I die young, Rolling in the deep, Safe and Sound, Then you look at me… The audiences and the judges appreciate all performances.

Besides, the invited guests’ performances make a deep impression to the audiences. The audiences seem to be heated up by many lively dances and funny rhythms such as Like this, Fire work, We are together… Especially, the opera “Happy New Year” brings the audiences a lot of fun. The opera is about the human love and the aspiration to overcome difficulties in life. With careful preparations, the actors and actresses show their excellent performing ability very well.

“AHS Idol” ended with great satisfaction of the audience and the judges. The winners are so happy when getting on the stage to receive gifts and trophies from the teachers. The winner of the first prize is Bui Huyen Thao My (Cong Hoa Campus), the second prize belongs to Nguyen Thao Uyen và Nguyen Tran Gia Linh (Cong Hoa Campus) and the winner of the third prize is Thien Kim (Pasteur Campus).

AHS Idol ended in success. The contest brings all AHS students a lot of happiness and satisfaction. All contestants take advantage of this useful playground to show their passion, singing ability and creativity. Especially, they show their English singing ability. After many years studying at the Asian International School, English singing ability is their strength.
