I. OBJECTIVES:
- Create a helpful and meaningful playground for students.
- Give students chances to compete and show their knowledge thinking ability, and ingenuity.
- Promote creative thinking, encourage students to recognize and distinguish various recyclable materials to enhance their understanding and awareness of environmental protection, and instill a sense of thrift.
- Contribute to develop the extracurricular activities for students.
II. MARKING CRITERIA:
The marking criteria of toys include characteristics of content, attractiveness, creativity and esthetic.
1. Attractiveness (30 points)
Promote high levels of physical activity with many attractive and interesting styles of playing
Help students practice their observation and judgment abilities
Help students enhance their creativity
Help students develop their physical health comprehensively
Provide entertaining and educational features that are age-appropriate and prevent damage as well as boredom over extended playtime
2. Creativity (20 points)
Incorporate new ideas and design features, using recycled materials to make toys
Reflect Vietnamese identity and convey a message of environmental protection
3. Esthetic and safety (10 points)
Attractive design that garners interest and carries meaningful messages
Attractive sound
Ensure safety for participants and others
4. Competing Skills (20 points)
Skillfulness
Ingenuity
5. Presentation (20 points)
The maximum presentation time is 4 minutes
Attractiveness, persuasiveness
Recycled toy information: what recycled materials were used, where they were sourced from, how to make, play or use the toy, and its meaningful message to protect the environment (the reason to choose this toy/product, technical features, attractiveness, lifelikeness, creative and curious-stimulation, entertainment, etc.)
Total: 100 points
III. HOW TO REGISTER:
- Toys can be bought or designed from recycled materials by students. Students’ name and class can be adhered on the Toys.
- Participants: IPS students at all campuses of The Asian International School. Students can register individually or as a group (each group includes 2 - 5 students).
- Types of toys:

Flying and running objects
Artistic and creative models
Assembling models
Robot
- Registration Procedure and Timeline: From July 4, 2024, to July 9, 2024, parents can register online by filling out the form via the link announced in the news section (on the AsianSchoolIPS app). Parents who prefer direct registration must submit the Registration Form to the class teacher before July 9, 2024.
- Concise documents and clear images of the toys must be attached.
- Competitions at all campuses: from July 15 to July 19, 2024. Trannhatduat and Vanthanh Campuses combine with other campuses to organize Toy Festival.

Notes:
Students are responsible for the safekeeping of their own toys brought to school for the festival.
After the festival, students can contribute their toys to the school’s charity program or donate their toys to the school for exhibition.
The school is not responsible for any damage or toy loss during the festival or after they are contributed to the school’s charity or exhibition program.
